How to Help
Full Time Teaching
We are continually looking for volunteers to teach or be assistant teachers in our School of Champions after school program. We have two sessions; one from 10 am to 12 noon and the other from 4 pm to 6 pm every school day. We are primarily looking for English teachers who are willing to commit to at least 6 months in the position. We can offer a small compensation package. Assistant teachers do not need to commit long term and receive no compensation. Volunteers must live in the vicinity or secure their own lodging and food if from out of the area. |

PART TIME VOLUNTEERING
A. Hot Meals Program – Monday through Friday meet at Perdon y Amistad, Candeleria 143, Barrio Santa Maria, at 3 pm . Drive to the Hot Meals location and help feed the children.
B. School of Champions – Monday through Friday meet at Perdon y Amistad. Drive to the school with the teachers and help with feeding and assist in the classrooms. |
Summer Camp
Summer camp runs for 4 weeks in July and August. The camp is open from 10 am to 2 pm and has many activities. Volunteers are needed both full time (for the 4 weeks) or part time , helping each day as available. Volunteering includes food preparation, teaching various classes, assisting in classes and in general, and supervision on day trips. Volunteers must secure their own lodging and meals. |
