Children of the Dump ProgramsSCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM:The idea started in 1998 when the co-founders of the original organization "Feed the Children Vallarta" noticed that the families living inside of the city dump were not sending their children to school... Learn More DAY CARE CENTERS: In 2001, UNICEF granted money to the Mexican government to build day care centers in the poor areas of Mexico. 9 centers were built in Puerto Vallarta. Learn More FIRE FLY PROGRAM: With the local economy suffering tremendously, more and more adults were working in the dump during the evening and more and more children were hungry after dark. Children of the Dump recognized this problem and began feeding the families who live in the shacks beside the dump and the adults working in the dump...
