Summer Camp

This past summer we held a summer camp at the School of Champions for over 100 children who lived in the area surrounding the dump.  The camp was from 10 am to 2 pm each day, Monday through Friday, and lasted for 4 weeks.   The children received breakfast and lunch.  There were classes in arts and crafts, computer, dancing, indoor games and a soccer tournament.  Each afternoon from 3 pm to 5:30 pm, we took 20 children to swim at a local swimming and recreations center.  We also had day trips in our school bus, to Café Roma for pizza each Wednesday afternoon, and to Vallarta Adventures to “swim with the dolphins”.  The camp was a tremendous success with the children and we plan to continue it each summer in the future.
